Bruce     (Praying) Thou art the creator of mankind, our wondrous beginning, our Father and giver of all that we are...

Shirley     Bruce, Bruce! I got your message. It’s fantastic! You’ve found it.

Bruce     (Solemnly) Yes, I have Shirl.  I have discovered It.

Shirley     Can I see it? Am I worthy enough?

Bruce        Not “it.”  Him.

Shirley         Him?

Bruce        Him.

Shirley         Am I worthy?

Bruce     No, none of us are worthy, Shirl. We are but his seed, the fruit dropped from his  mighty branches and left to rot and grow in the soil of time and space and  become this. (He points to himself and Shirl).

Shirley         Oh. (Pause) Anyway, can I see him.

Bruce     Are you clean?

Shirley         I had a shower...

Bruce     Are you clean, spiritually? Can you gaze upon his purity without flinching?  Can you look into his face of beauty?  Can you see the creator of all things and in     your humility, worship?

Shirley        Um, I dunno, can I?
